The ConservationTrack Solution
The ConservationTrack solution enables land trusts to develop procedures and consistently adhere to standards while providing collaboration, record keeping and enhanced ease-of-use. The solution is made up of multiple components:
SOFTWARE: At its core ConservationTrack is a web-based open sourced software freely available. The software is specifically designed for land trusts. Initially developed by The California Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, the software now continues to be enhanced by all the land trusts using the software.

EVERYTHING ELSE: The software is freely available but setting up ConservationTrack is complex. On the technical side, ConservationTrack requires intimate knowledge of SharePoint, SQL Server, Windows Server, firewalls, and backup technology. On the functional side, ConservationTrack requires training, support, and tailoring.
